Installed in the idle circuit of a twin-barrel carburettor, this jet operates when the engine is idling or running under low load. It contributes to the formation of the air-fuel mixture required for smooth combustion, particularly when the carburettor's main circuit is not yet providing most of the fuel supply.

The 82.5 mm calibration is an important characteristic of this component. It determines the fuel flow through the relevant circuit and must match the carburettor specifications. An unsuitable jet can cause unstable idling, hesitation during acceleration or irregular engine operation.

During installation, it is advisable to work on a clean carburettor and check that the idle passages are free from deposits. The jet must be fitted carefully, without overtightening, to avoid damaging its thread or slot.
