front and rear ends.In recent years, there have been offers of 2CV chassis at all price points, making it really difficult for owners and restorers to make the right choice. Yet this decision is of key importance for safety, for reliability, for the longevity of the component itself, as well as for ease of assembly or the value of your vehicle when it is assessed.

To help you choose between our products and those of our competitors, you’ll find all the information you need below. Firstly, remember that our original parts are made in France at our Cassis facility, using the historical Citroën toolings, and that they are certified by the manufacturer and by UTAC. Our best seller is the
original galvanized 2CV chassis. It offers superior performance to the original auto part thanks to its anti-corrosion treatment by galvanization (bath treatment at 450°C), which lets us offer you a product guaranteed for life against corrosion. Its lower and upper metalwork are designed for heat treatment, and guarantee dimensional stability (no undulations after treatment). We also offer our
original cataphoresized chassis that is a strict duplicate of the historic 2CV chassis. It’s assembled in Cassis using the Citroën setter, in strict compliance with the manufacturer specifications, making it a very high quality component that, thanks to its cataphoresis treatment, is guaranteed 10 years and will ensure a truly high-quality rebuild. Our
untreated original 2CV chassis brings you original quality at a more-affordable price. It is made to the same manufacturer specifications, with the same attention as our other historical products, but without subsequent anti-corrosion treatment. The 3 models bear the original label, and are the only such products on the market to bear them. It should also be noted that some European countries require an original-part label for any chassis replacement on an old vehicle.
Our online store also sells two adaptable chassis references that have lower prices but do not bear the source label for vehicle evaluation. Our
adaptable galvanized model is often considered to be the best adaptable product on the market, because of the quality of its anti-corrosion treatment, even though the galvanization always results in a adaptable model with minor undulations on the upper and lower panels. Lastly, our latest model, and the cheapest in our range – the
adaptable cataphoresized chassis – has been selected according to demanding specifications, although it does not guarantee the same performance as an original auto part. We do not recommend the other adaptable chassis’ on the market. Our various tests have revealed many structural weaknesses in these products: anchoring of the belts, spars in 2 parts, lack of some internal reinforcements, etc. During an assessment or a technical inspection, they will downgrade or penalize your vehicle.
It should be noted that, since April 2011, to pass the roadworthiness inspection, it is also essential for the serial number be stamped on the chassis of all vehicles less than 30 years old, in accordance with the factory stamping. We can
stamp this number on our new chassis’ before delivery but, for this, you will need to you to provide us with a copy of the registration card and the manufacturer's aluminum plate of your vehicle. However, only the original models can be stamped with the Citroën chevrons in addition to the chassis number, the which chevrons allow one to trace and value collector vehicles equipped with these
Citroën 2CV parts.
