To be able to guarantee made-in-France manufacturing with full original compliance, the 2CV Méhari Club Cassis does all its production work in-house, within a workshop that handcrafts thousands of trimmings every year. They are made in nearly 25 colors, in a variety of different patterns and materials, allowing hundreds of combinations of upholstery for your 2CV saloon or van. We use fabrics (deep-dyed fabrics or printed weaves) or Skaï halftones, with or without pleats, with squared or rounded corners, making our selection of trimmings for 2CV seats practically unlimited, with a number of reference best sellers such as Citroën black or brown weaved halftone, lozenge-patterned gray velvet, Scotch fabric or red diamond-patterned. Some of these fabrics and patterns have been milestones in the history of the Citroën legend. For instance, at the time of its launch and up to 1953, only the gray fabric - made half and half of wool and cotton - was used for the upholstery of the first models. Then came the Scotch fabrics in viscose. Ultimately, between 1970 and 1986, most of the vehicles were equipped as series production standard with 2CV seats in black or brown Skaï halftone. The other colors were available as on option, notably with different colors of striped, hound's-tooth-pattern, diamond-pattern (jacquard) or checkered fabrics.
Choose the right seat upholstery for your 2CV seat models
Before you place your order for a seat trim, be sure to identify your model from among the different versions that have existed over the course of the vehicle’s history. There have indeed been vehicles with two bench seats - called a two-piece (one single bench seat at the front for the driver and front passenger, and one rear bench seat), while others - so-called three-piece versions, with two separate seats at the front and one bench seat in the back. Bear in mind that some rare rear bench seats are tippable on some models (ENAC), like the rear bench seats of the Dyane.
Additionally, on some models, the trims had pleats on the sides of the seat - these are known as pleated or pleatless 2CV seats. Plus the top corners of the armature of front seats may be squared or rounded. A range of Bayadère trims for the 2CV
You’ll also find our bayadere trims have the particularity of being able to be fitted without springing. The name of these trimmings is derived from the striped fabric from which they are made (bayadere fabric), which first came out with the launch of the ALL model in November 1956. These are available for front seats or rear bench seats in fabric (blue, green, brown, denim, tartan, etc.) as well as in faux leather (grey, black, chocolate, brown, etc.).
