The different parts of a Mehari wheel

The central part of the wheel, the Mehari rim has evolved very little, since only two models were marketed between 1968 and 1987, when production of the famous Citroën ended. The first was the original pinkish-grey wheel, which was also used on the 2CV. The second is the Azur rim, in white, which was fitted to the limited edition Mehari of the same name between 1983 and 1987. Two versions of this Azur wheel are available in our shop: an original white version and a version that can be painted. A third rim model, this time not 'historic', is also available on our website. This is a sports wheel for anyone who wants to give their Mehari a custom look.
These different rim models are known as 'tubeless' because, thanks to a perfect seal between the rim profile and the tyre, they don't necessarily require an inner tube and this greatly reduces the risk of the tyre coming off the rim.

All our tyres, rims and valves are sold individually or already assembled as complete wheels. Different types of complete wheels are available depending on the tyre or rim model chosen. All these parts are compatible with both the Méhari 4x2 and the Méhari 4x4, although some examples of the latter may have been fitted with 14-inch rather than 15-inch tyres.

Other parts and accessories needed to fit a wheel

Other parts of the Mehari wheel include the nuts used to attach the wheel to the wheel bolts, the front bolts being positioned on the front hubs and, at the rear, on the drums attached to the rear suspension arms. The wheel nut most commonly used for the Mehari is the so-called 'long' nut (part number 1200605 or 1200606, depending on the colour chosen). But if you want to fit wheel covers (hub caps) to your Mehari rims, whether in stainless steel or polished stainless steel, you'll need to switch to short wheel nuts (reference 1200600). Our wheel caps are also available, and are used to conceal the central hole in the rim by which the wheel cover is fitted to the rim using a special bolt and cage nut.
