A Méhari hood compatible with models fitted with an aluminium windscreen frame
Our standard hoods are suitable only for Méhari and Méhari 4x4 models fitted with tubular
standard frames for hoods featuring an aluminium windscreen frame (models from 1971 to 1987, with the exception of the limited-edition Azur series).
Depending on the model year and variant, the rear hood is secured using 3 or 4 straps. This is what distinguishes the standard Méhari hoods from the
old model Méhari hoods (model years from May 1968 to July 1971), where the rear hood is secured with turnbuckles. Before ordering, please check your vehicle’s production year, the material of its windscreen frame and the number of straps securing its rear hood to ensure the products you are about to purchase are fully compatible and fit perfectly once fitted.

Complete hood sets or individual parts
To fully equip your Méhari, we offer complete hood sets. These include a roof hood, left and right side hoods, a rear hood, a matching spare wheel cover and three elastic fasteners.
Some complete sets come with PVC door tops (or upper doors) whilst others do not. Alternatively, you can find our full range of Méhari PVC door models in the dedicated section (whilst the half-moon doors made from ABS bodywork are featured in the ‘

Do you just want to replace a worn or torn part? Each of these parts is also sold individually in our online shop. This section also offers hood models with specific cut-outs, such as the Touareg and Riviera hoods.
PVC or cotton hoods: a choice of two materials
The Méhari PVC canvas hood remains the traditional choice: it is robust, waterproof and easy to maintain. If you prefer a retro look, we also offer standard cotton c hoods: they offer better fit and a high-quality vintage look much appreciated by enthusiasts, even if they do not match the original material.
Around ten colours and patterns for your Méhari
Our standard hoods are available in around ten colours and patterns: black, white, gypsy blue, navy blue, grey, yellow, brown, red, green, or even a camouflage pattern. This means you can match your Méhari’s original colour or give it a more personalised style.
