Rear brake shoes (4 pieces)

This set of 4 rear brake shoes is designed for the drum braking system of 2CV, Méhari and Dyane vehicles. It allows the entire rear axle to be equipped, with two shoes per wheel.

During braking, the wheel cylinders push the shoes apart so that their linings come into contact with the inner surface of the drum. The resulting friction slows down the rotation of the wheels. The return springs then bring the shoes back into position when the brake pedal is released.

MCC fitting advice : before closing the drum, make sure that the linings are perfectly clean and free from grease or brake fluid. Then carefully centre the shoes and adjust the eccentrics. The linings must be correctly positioned in relation to the drum to ensure consistent braking operation on both rear wheels.
