Original platform chassis Méhari 4x4 - galvanized

Galvanisation (anti-corrosion treatment in a 450° bath) means we can offer a product with a lifetime guarantee against corrosion. The upper and lower panels are suitable for heat treatment and guarantee dimensional stability (no warping after treatment) for these platforms produced in our metalworking workshop in Cassis.
Galvanisation treatment of platforms was never used by Citroën at the time. It is therefore not original, but offers superior corrosion protection to cataphoresis treatment, and its performance, quality and long-term effectiveness are unrivalled.

Compliance and collection vehicle registration document:
Since 1 December 2025, these platforms are no longer delivered with a certificate of compliance because galvanisation was not used by Citroën as standard. This platform will therefore no longer enable you to obtain a 'collection' vehicle registration document for your vehicle. Only the installation of an original platform with a cataphoresis treatment, manufactured by the 2 CV Méhari club Cassis, will be accepted by the French Federation of Vintage Vehicles (FFVE) and in accordance with point 6.3 of article 311-1 (Highway Code), which specifies the following:
"6.3. Vehicles of historical interest (known as collector's vehicles) [...]:
- they are preserved from a historical point of view and maintained in their original condition, and no significant modifications have been made to the technical characteristics of their main components".

Platform number stamp:
Since April 2011, in order to pass the technical inspection, it is mandatory for the serial number to be stamped on the platform of all vehicles less than 30 years old, in accordance with the factory stamp.
This costs £1 for the purchase of an original platform and requires you to send us a copy of the vehicle registration document and the manufacturer's aluminium plate.

Please note: For installation on a Méhari, a 24 cm cut in the rear side members and drilling of holes for attaching the front roll bar and rear stops will be required.
