Windscreen or rear arm bump stop

This windscreen and rear arm bump stop serves as a shock-absorbing buffer. It stabilises the windscreen when it is folded down or limits the travel of the rear suspension arms.

This action prevents excessive travel that could damage the chassis or adjacent components. Its composition ensures energy absorption during impacts and withstands repeated compression cycles.

Use as a rear suspension arm bump stop.

Mounted directly on the chassis, at each rear suspension arm, this bump stop limits suspension travel in the event of heavy compression.

It performs several functions :
. prevent sudden contact between the suspension arm and the chassis
. absorb impacts at the end of the suspension travel
. protect the suspension arm, chassis and surrounding components
. limit mechanical stress and noise during heavy suspension compression.

The complete rear axle requires two bump stops, one on each side of the vehicle.

Use as a windscreen bump stop.

This same part can also be used as a bump stop on New Model and Azur type windscreen frames. In this configuration, it is fitted with the aluminium bump stop support ref. 0600300.

The bump stop then forms a flexible contact surface that helps to :
. cushion contact with the windscreen frame
. prevent direct contact between metal components
. protect surfaces against impacts, vibrations and friction
. help maintain and correctly position the windscreen.
