Front/rear shock absorber Premium AK400/Méhari 4X4 - Record

This Record shock absorber for Méhari 4x4 or AKS400 controls suspension movement and limits oscillations caused by uneven road surfaces.

It operates using a hydraulic system assisted by low-pressure gas. As the suspension moves, the piston travels inside the shock absorber and forces the oil through calibrated passages. The gas in the outer chamber maintains pressure on the oil and helps deaerate it, thereby limiting the formation of bubbles that could interfere with hydraulic operation.

Maxigaz technology provides a more consistent damping response, with progressive control of suspension movement. It also helps reduce stress and excessive movement transmitted to the various suspension components.

This shock absorber is designed for front or rear installation on compatible vehicles. During installation, the mounting points must be correctly positioned and tightened. The condition of the mounting hardware and associated suspension components should also be checked before putting the vehicle back on the road.
