Valve spring

Valve spring designed for a "single-spring" setup, meaning that each valve is fitted with only one spring. This configuration was used on 602cc and 435cc engines from 1976 onwards.

From September 1976, 435 cm³ and 602 cm³ engines were fitted with modified cylinder heads to allow the installation of a single valve spring.

Cylinder heads designed to accept a single spring can be identified by their increased valve spring seating surface: 33.2 mm instead of 32 mm.
