Fixed-price service for the overhaul of your Citroën 2CV gearbox or derivative model (Méhari, Dyane, etc.), equipped with front disc brakes – earlier version.

How can you identify this gearbox?

This model can notably be identified by the threaded section on the input shaft, which engages with the clutch disc.

IMPORTANT – Shipping your gearbox

This service covers the overhaul of your own gearbox.

Shipping the gearbox to our workshops in Cassis is at the customer's expense. Transport costs, shipping arrangements and packaging of the gearbox remain the customer's responsibility.

Before shipping your gearbox, please contact us so that we can advise you on the choice of carrier and shipping arrangements.

The gearbox must be completely drained of oil, properly protected and securely packaged to prevent any damage during transport.

The overhaul process

1. You send us your gearbox

You arrange and cover the cost of shipping your gearbox to our workshops in Cassis.

2. We carry out a technical inspection

Upon receipt, our teams carry out a complete technical inspection of your gearbox to accurately assess its condition and determine the work required.

3. We provide you with a quotation

Following this inspection, we will send you a quotation for the overhaul.

If you decide not to proceed with the overhaul, you will only be charged a flat fee equivalent to 3 hours of labour for the technical inspection.

4. We overhaul your gearbox

Once you have approved the quotation, our technicians will proceed with the overhaul.

The price shown for this service includes:

• Complete disassembly of the gearbox
• Cleaning and inspection of all components and the gearbox casing
• Replacement of all gearbox bearings
• Replacement of all gearbox seals
• Reassembly and adjustment of the gearbox, including differential setup, selector fork adjustment and all clearances
• Gearbox testing on a test bench, including leak and operational testing

Please note: the gearbox is then drained and supplied without oil!

The estimated turnaround time is approximately 4 weeks from the date you approve the work.

Warranty

The gearbox overhaul service is covered by a 12-month warranty.

This warranty does not cover labour costs associated with the removal and refitting of the gearbox, unless these operations were carried out directly in our workshops.
