The 2CV has had several types of wiring harness over the course of its history. Initially powered by 6 volts, the 2CV saloon gradually switched to a 12-volt electrical system between 1965 and 1970, with 12 volts becoming the norm with the launch of the 2CV 4 and 2CV 6 in February 1970.
Specific wiring looms for the front and rear ends
The 2CV wiring looms consisted of a front harness and a rear harness. Several models of front wiring looms are available on this page, depending on the year and voltage of your 2CV (2CV 6V front wiring loom up to 1954, 2CV 6V front wiring loom after 1954, 12V front wiring loom, front wiring loom for 2CV Sahara). We also offer you a specific 2CV headlight wiring loom that allows you to use European type code (CE) and H4 lamps, whether 6V or 12V. As far as 2CV rear wiring looms are concerned, two models cover all models, the "classic" 2CV rear wiring loom which works equally well for 6V or 12V 2CVs and, finally, the specific rear wiring loom which only concerns the 2CV Sahara (4x4).
