Even if it is the Michelin 125R15 tyres (
125 R 400 or 125 R 15 tyre) that have equipped the vast majority of the 2CVs produced throughout history, after having been generalised on the 2CV saloon from September 1959, some models were fitted with tyres widened by 10 mm, i.e. 135 mm, as original equipment. On this page you will find our offer concerning these 135R15 tyres, which can also be called 135 15 or 135x15 or 135x380, or even 135R15 ZX when referring to the historical Michelin reference. The R is normally indicated and necessary because it specifies that the tyre has a radial structure.
Which 2CVs were fitted with 135R15 tyres?
These tyres appeared quite late in the history of the legendary Citroën, more precisely in April 1963 with the launch of the 2CV AK350 van. They also equipped its successor, the AK 400, from 1970 until the end of its production in 1978. These two van models had the largest payload in the range, which is why the manufacturer chose to use slightly wider tyres. Before 1963, the first van models had the same tyres as their contemporaries, the 2CV saloons: 135x400 for the first AU vans and then 125R15 for the AZUs.
In addition to the original dimensions, some owners may have chosen to switch to 135 mm wide tyres to improve their car's road holding. It is indeed quite common to find saloons equipped with these wider tyres.

You can discover below our specific range of 135R15 tyres which are sold individually or in packs of 4 or 5.

What pressure for a 2CV 13RR15 tyre?
The recommended pressure for the front wheels is 1.4 bar (18.9 P.S.I.). For the rear wheels, the recommended pressure is 1.800 bar (26.1 PSI). This pressure can change when driving off-road. For example, it should be lowered for driving in sand and increased for driving on stony ground. You can find all our advice concerning the different 2CV tyre models and the appropriate pressures on our
technical site (in French).
