Front or rear arm bearing kit for 2CV / Méhari / Dyane

This suspension arm bearing kit contains all the components required for the complete replacement of the bearings in a front or rear suspension arm on a 2CV, Méhari or Dyane.

The suspension arm bearing performs several essential functions :

. Allows suspension travel when the wheel moves up and down over road irregularities.
. Keeps the suspension arm perfectly centered and guided on its axis.
. Reduces friction to ensure smooth and consistent suspension movement.
. Supports the vehicle's weight as well as the loads generated while driving.

Worn or seized suspension arm bearings can cause :

. Excessive wheel play.
. Squeaking, creaking or dull knocking noises from the suspension.
. Uneven tire wear.
. Reduced handling precision.
. In some cases, abnormal wheel camber.

In such cases, it is recommended to replace all the components that make up the suspension arm bearing assembly.

This kit is suitable for both front and rear suspension arms.

A complete suspension arm bearing replacement requires the installation of all the supplied components :

. 2 suspension arm bearings ref. 1004421 (one on each side of the suspension arm).
. 2 suspension arm bearing seals ref. 1004410.
. 1 suspension arm bearing retaining ring ref. 1004400.
. 1 split pin ref. 1004426.
