Friction shock absorber

MCC friction shock absorber sold individually and offering excellent value for money. This part requires adjustment during installation on the vehicle to achieve the desired damping as recommended by the manufacturer.

The friction shock absorber is the predecessor of the hydraulic shock absorber. It consists of two friction discs tightly bound by a spring and a tightening bolt. As they rub against each other, the discs slow down the oscillation of the arm with the axle and ensure the vehicle's damping. The friction shock absorber is positioned directly into the suspension arm and, once installed, must be sealed using gasket paste.
